Remember the soldier's death that led to military justice reform in Taiwan?

According to this report in the Taipei Times, a civilian court has convicted 13 military officials (including a Major General) of abuse of power, sentencing them to between three and eight months in prison for the death of Army corporal Hung Chung-chiu. His death led to last year's quick enactment of major reforms to the Taiwanese military justice system. Five other defendants were acquitted.
