Military justice and sports

A member of the Guardia Civil is being prosecuted in a military court for an insulting comment at a football match, which its being treated as directed at a sergeant who was present even though the comment was made generically. The United Association of Civil Guards is objecting to the proceedings, according to this account in the La Voz de Galicia., on the ground that military sanctions, including possible imprisonment, should only apply when provided by the Armed Forces and Security Corps Law. No indication whether either or both of these fans were in uniform.
